Sound installation and collective listening session

In this listening session, presented as a sound installation, we will listen to Éliane Radigue’s Trilogie de la Mort (1985–1993): a sonic meditation on the passage between life, death and transformation, inspired by the cosmologies of Tibetan Buddhism.
The session will take place on the 49th day after the death of the French composer, which occurred on 23 February 2026, resonating with the 49 days of transition described in the Bardo Thodol (The Tibetan Book of the Dead, or Liberation Through Hearing During the Intermediate State), a period of passage between different states of existence according to Buddhist cosmology.
The image of Mount Kailash, a sacred mountain associated with the cycle of death and rebirth, also relates to the second chapter of Trilogie de la Mort (1985–1993), in which Éliane Radigue addresses the ordeal of mourning and an imaginary pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, the sacred Himalayan mountain of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
