Theoretical and practical research that led to a broader and deeper inquiry into palliative listening
An award-winning project begun in 2021 and subsequently developed through artistic residencies

The Last Listening auscultates the limits of listening in situations of existential finitude through three strands:
- Towards the imbalance of uprightness
- Towards other modes of listening: an ‘epoché’ of the body
- Towards a new ethics and aesthetics of palliative listening
The project combines theoretical research, artistic practice and fieldwork through conversations, interviews, testimonies, written and sound diaries, listening sessions and the production of personal legacies.

2021 — Egile Award, Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
2022 — Residency at Nau Côclea.
2022 — Residency at Cal Gras.
Awarded in the first edition of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa’s “Egile” awards for artistic research projects and subsequently developed through two artistic residencies at Nau Côclea and Cal Gras.
